Friday Evening sees the intensity of the Weekend ahead really begin to build.

While there have been events since Tuesday, the largest concentration begins with the Friday evening activities.

The vintage cars have arrived and park on the Marine Parade. Those Magnificent Men and their flying machines put on a great display over the waterfront around 8pm and then the bands strike up on the Sound Shell stage with the Big Sounds Tonight concert featuring the HB Jazz Club Big Band and one of our special guest bands attending the weekend.

In venues all over the city dinners and dances see many people in their costumes flocking to the vibrant and happy CBD.
