Saturday of any Art Deco Weekend is a big day, with huge crowds in their 1930s clothing swarming all over the city to vists a wide variety of events.

This video shows some of the build-up to the Masonic Hotel sponsored Street Parade that features over 300 vintage cars.

There are bands and barbershop choruses on every street corner along Emerson St. for the Street Party that starts around 10.30am.
The Parade steps off at 12.30pm and is followed by the Show'n'Shine where you can get close up to all the vintage cars. Then at 2pm there's  the incredible Costumes and Coiffure fashion competition and the Bathing Belles Swim Suit competitions.

It's a day that if full of the 1930's style and a wonderful party atmosphere throughout the city.

But the biggest part of Saturday is yet to come......the evenings events!
