| THE NATIONAL TOBACCO COMPANY BUILDING Louis Hay's tour de force was the office building he designed at Ahuriri for this Napier based company in 1932. It has been influenced by Art Nouveau, Art Deco and the Chicago School. It bears a strong resemblance to some of Louis Sullivan's buildings

| DECO CENTRE, originally Napier Central Fire Station, was built of brick in 1921. After suffering earthquake damage, it was partly demolished and rebuilt in ferro-concrete to the exact original design. It is now the home of the Art Deco Trust
