This fabulous hand made rug has been designed by Robert McGregor,
Heritage Officer, Art Deco Trust.
It draws it's inspiration from the beautiful pattern of the carpet in the Napier Municipal Theatre in Emerson St, Napier. This stunning design is a reproduction of the original scottish carpet laid in 1938.

Each rug is individually hand knotted (60 per square inch with a 10mm pile), hand dyed and woven from a mixture of Tibetan wool for strength and New Zealand fleecewool for softness.
This design is exclusive to the Art Deco Trust, Napier, New Zealand.
This rug is not our standard size, but we can obtain a quote to custom make this design in any colourway to create the perfect rug for you.
