This fabulous hand made rug has been designed by Robert McGregor, Heritage Officer, Art Deco Trust. It draws it's inspiration from the beautiful pattern of the carpet in the Napier Municipal Theatre in Emerson St, Napier. This stunning design is a reproduction of the original scottish carpet laid in 1938. Architect: J T Watson 1938 Each rug is individually hand knotted (60 per square inch with a 10mm pile), hand dyed and woven from a mixture of Tibetan wool for strength and New Zealand fleecewool for softness. This design is exclusive to the Art Deco Trust, Napier, New Zealand. Colourway 2 & 3 are currently out of stock but are available on request. Just email us !
