DESIGNER PROFILE

Theresa Brady has always had a love of fashion. “Being the youngest of four children I inherited a lot of hand-me downs and would adore styling them into something individual and uniquely me,” she says.   “As a teenager I would fossick through op-shops for vintage clothes and experiment with remaking them in to outfits I would wear myself, and later, sell at market.” Brady took on the position of General Manager of Urban Creative and its established streetwear label Doosh in 2007 after years of working on all aspects of the business, including design. She then created boutique streetwear label Sable & Minx, which incorporates Brady’s retro, classic and timeless touches. Both ranges now have their own online stores.

Created and designed by Theresa Brady, Sable & Minx collections are heavily influenced by the Art Deco era.  Its all about elegance and timelessness with Sable & Minx""  says Brady.  “I strive for effortless femininity, and to make flattering and distinctive clothing,” she says. Their denim range has already won legions of fans with its distinctive back pocket detailing and figure enhancing, form-fitting cuts; while other components of each range layer together in classic yet contemporary ways. For their latest season, the label has introduced exclusive silk prints, which only adds to its upmarket, boutique flavour.
