DETAILS AT A GLANCE

• Walks are held twice daily year round (except Christmas Day) rain or shine.
• No bookings are necessary, but are a good option.
• Morning Walks at 10.00am cost $16pp. Takes one hour.
• Afternoon Walks at 2.00pm cost $21pp. Takes two hours.
• During the summer months a special evening walk is held at 5.00pm and costs $19pp. Takes one and half hours.

• GUIDED MORNING WALK: 10.00am

• Compact Morning Walks last one hour and are ideal for people with limited time. Meet your guide at the Napier i-Site Visitors’ Centre, Marine Parade (next to the Sound Shell) at 9.45am ready for a 10.00am start. The walk ends at the Art Deco Trust, 163 Tennyson Street, Napier.

  Cost: $16.00 per person (accompanied children Under 12 free, $5 for 12-18 year olds)

• GUIDED AFTERNOON WALK: 2.00pm

• Comprehensive Afternoon Walks last two hours and include an audio visual presentation and some interior visits. At the end of the walk there is an optional 30 minute movie screening. Walks start and finish at the Art Deco Trust, meet your guide at 1.45pm ready for a 2.00pm start.

  Cost: $21.00 per person (accompanied children Under 12 free, $5 for 12-18 year olds)

• GUIDED EVENING WALK: 5.00pm (from 22 October – 31 March)

• Evening Walks last one and a half hours and are a great option for the spring and summer months and for visitors who are only staying overnight. They start and finish at the Napier i-Site Visitors’ Centre on Marine Parade where you can meet your guide and purchase your tickets before you start. They are as comprehensive as the afternoon walks, but do not include the audio-visual presentation, or interior visits.

  Cost: $19.00 per person (accompanied children Under 12 free, $5 for 12-18 year olds).

• SPECIAL GUIDED WALKS:

• These can be arranged for groups in advance with at least 48 hours notice. There is a minimum charge for 5 people. The length of the walk and start time and place are suited to the walkers’ requirements.

• PRIVATE GUIDED WALKS

• Private guided walks can also be arranged. Time, date and length to suit. The price is on application.
