Getting to Napier

By Land: Napier is an easy drive through some of New Zealand’s most picturesque countryside. Drive times are indicated below:


Auckland to Napier: 5 Hours
Rotorua to Napier: 3 Hours
Taupo to Napier: 2 Hours
Gisborne to Napier: 3 Hours
Wellington    to Napier: 3.5 Hours

 

By Sea:

A growing number of visitors arrive by cruise ship at the Port of Napier. Shuttles run from the port to the Napier i-Site Visitor Centre, which is just a few minutes walk from the city centre. By Air:

Hawke’s Bay is well serviced by daily Air New Zealand flights from the main centres of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. On average flights takes an hour from each of these centers.
