late Robert McGregor, Art Deco Trust Heritage Officer and founding member of the Art Deco Trust in 1985.
Its comprehensive 56 pages of text and 100 historic photographs detail New Zealand's greatest natural disaster - the Hawkes Bay Earthquake, 10.47am, 3rd February 1931.
Highlighted throughout the publication are fabulous archival photos covering the region before the earthquake and the following devastation, rescue, evacuation, clean up and reconstruction of the area caused by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
